What if I can't find the business event venue when making an event?

  • First, try automatically finding the venue by writing its name in the provided field. CBE software will match the first letter of the venue against ones in its database, so keep in mind if the venue has a "The" or "Shanghai" before it. Once you find the venue you're looking for hit enter or click on the name. All the venue details will load automatically. IF the venue does not appear then please write the venue name and any contact information in the field provided underneath. CBE's venues are strong in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. We'll expand venue databases as information accumulates.

What is popularity and how do I improve my events?

  • Great question! CBE ranks all events based off real user behavior. We call a ranking "popularity" because it's not fair to rank an event that no one has been to yet. Popularity simply means how popular your events are. CBE measures popularity mainly based on:

    • The frequency of your event. Repeating or ongoing events are not as popular as those that last less than a week. This function is aimed to help create better value for all users.
    • How many people have viewed, shared or RSVP your event.
  • The easiest way to improve your event's popularity is to use CBE's "share it" function and send out invitations to your business contacts.

How do I edit my event once it's created?

  • CBE allows the event owner to edit their own events. It's easy. To edit an event that you uploaded you'll first have to sign in again. Then either find and click on the event you previously uploaded or visit "My Events" on your account page. You can always access your account by clicking on your name in the top right hand corner of the page after you've signed in. All your events, subscriptions and RSVPs are managed on this page. Click on My Events. Find your event. Click on the title. Once the page loads, you'll see a small yellow bar above the description that includes the word "Edit". Simply click on "Edit" and correct the information you'd like.

Why doesn't my event description appear in the index list with other events?

  • CBE editors are frequently checking the site and approving submitted events to make sure information is correct and inoffensive. Usually, events appear immediately. If yours doesn't appear, try posting again. If you any have any trouble, contact a CBE Editor.
